* Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Eye and Lip Cream

Caudalie has always meant effective and well-priced skincare for me, years of French pharmacy expertise. Let me show you a very interesting cream which is not only for the eye area but also lips!
French pharmacy brands such as Caudalie are actually quite easy to get a hold of in Spain, which is a great thing. Caudalie is one of my favourites and I've had the chance to try quite a few different products from some of their ranges.
This is the first product I try from the Polyphenol range so I couldn't wait to give it a go.
Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Collection
This range is aimed at skin over 30 years of age, polyphenols have amazing anti-oxidant power so really this is suitable for all ages! Anti-oxidants protect the skin against free radicals which are produced by stress and pollution and trigger premature aging.
It isn't a heavy-duty anti-aging range, it won't reduce marked wrinkles or stimulate collagen production but it's a way of preventing and attacking the first signs of aging.
This collection has a serum, night oil, a cream and a fluid with SPF and this eye and lip cream.
Ingredients and Action
It contains grape-seed Polyphenols and Vitamin C as antioxidants and it is also enriched with Matrixyl 3000 which is a mix of peptides to reduce fine lines which is considered a "super ingredient" in super expensive eye creams.
It also contains fern, horse chestnut, liquorice and witch hazel extracts to help tighten, smooth and moisturize while reducing puffiness and dark circles.
It is fragrance-free and non-photosensitizing. It doesn't contain parabens, phthalates, mineral oils or any other nasties.
How to use
This is a fine white cream which is quickly absorbed into the skin. I apply it with my fingertips around my eyes in a tapping motion and also around my lips, specially my top lip. I haven't been using it on my lips directly but I think it's a great idea to avoid fine lines around the lips.
You're supposed to use it every day morning and evening and it's fine enough to use under makeup, specially as it is absorbed so quickly.
Effects
After using this eye and lip cream for well over a month I have to say it's a nice cream. My eyes seem refreshed in the morning and bright and my fine lines don't seem as noticeable with concealer.
I do have to say however that I feel it isn't hydrating enough for my dehydrated eye contour. Even though I have oily skin the eye area always seems dry and I think I prefer a thicker cream for this reason.
Overall
This is an incredibly well-priced eye cream at £26 for 15 ml of product and it contains some excellent and effective ingredients which are commonly found in pricier creams.
I find it isn't hydrating enough for my dehydrated under eye area or powerful enough to reduce wrinkles but it's great as a first step in avoiding premature aging.
If you want no-fuss skincare at a reasonable price Caudalie is a brand to look out for, and this cream is no exception. I also think it's great that it targets the lip area, a very often forgotten area!
What's your favourite eye cream?
