November Makeup and Beauty Favourites
Tuesday, December 08, 2015It's always a great idea to take a look at what makeup and beauty products one has most been enjoying the previous month, so today I thought I'd talk to you about my November favourites.
The most noticeable thing about the previous month is that the temperatures have finally fallen so many of the skincare products are nice for dry skin from the weather. My skin isn't naturally dry but all these changes in temperature mean that it needs a little moisture!
Rego Lodos Pharmacy Gel Hyaluronic 40%
This is a wonderful gel which is incredibly moisturizing as it contains a high percentage of hyaluronic acid. It is like a jelly in consistency and glides over the skin, absorbing very quickly.
I like to use this in the evening after cleansing to provide moisture to the skin but if your skin is dry it's also great to use before makeup or even mixed with your foundation to get that extra hydration.
Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm
This is the holy grail of lip balms for me, I had already reviewed it previously in this post which you can read in detail.
This is a thick matte paste which is best to use at night before going to bed. When you wake up in the morning you'll still have that coat of balm and your lips will be renewed. There is really truly nothing that I've tried before like it.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Self Made Palette
I can't stop raving about this palette, I know, but I really have been loving it ever since I received it and I want to make sure you buy it before it runs out.
If you want to know more about this limited edition eyeshadow palette you can read my full review here and also check out my gorgeous plum sparkle look.
Guerlain Rouge G Lipstick
This really wasn't a lipstick I intended to buy but I ended up keeping it after someone ordered it and then didn't pay for it and I'm really glad I decided to use it. The colour is a deep ruby which doesn't look blackened on my pigmented lips and the formulation is incredibly creamy and hydrating!
They're pricey lipsticks but they're really classy and the formulation and pigmentation is incredible!
NARS Descanso Satin Lip Pencil
I have included another lipstick because I have been using this one a lot combined with dark looks using the Anastasia Self Made palette. It's a peachy nude which was limited edition and it really suits my warm complexion.
It adds luminosity to the skin and the satin finish gives the lips a bit of shine. The formulation of the satin lip pencils isn't my favourite as it can enhance dry patches but the colour is lovely and it's easy to use.
