If you're looking for a perfect little gift which isn't too expensive or over the top, I think I may have the perfect one: this trio of highlighters by Becca is a lovely set which will delight any makeup lover!
I really wish I had reviewed this lovely little set before but Christmas seems to have creeped up on me and there are one or two sets which are amazing and I haven't had the chance to show you yet. Thankfully this little gem you can still pick up here in Space NK, so make sure you run over and buy it!
This is a set of three small sized tubes of a selection of Shimmering Skin Perfectors by Becca. Here we have Pearl, Champagne and Opal. Pearl and Opal are from the regular line whereas Champagne is special edition for the holiday, we all love a limited edition!
They come in small transparent tubes so you can see the colour clearly and a golden cap. Each contain 0.17 oz whereas a full sized one contains 1.7 oz. I love having the chance to try three different ones and a full sized one would take ages to finish. You don't need much at all and the doe foot applicator dispenses too much in my opinion, it's better to dab a small amount and spread it with your fingers or a stippling brush.
The shimmering skin perfectors are firm favourites in the beauty world because of the formula of these liquid illuminators. They aren't too liquid, they're easy to blend and the shimmer they provide is perfect because it's noticeable but not glittery or over the top. You can see the highlighter on your skin in a subtle and refined way.
You can use these mixed with your foundation or over, on the high points of the face. It applies well and lasts a fair amount. I think they're great for a night out, everyday use if you like a highlighted look and I can imagine these being perfect for a wedding or some similar event.
Pearl
A beautiful ice white, this will be perfect for very fair girls who never find the perfect highlighter. You can see how it highlights the bridge of my nose (in all the photos) and my cheekbone in this photo.
Champagne
A very yellow-toned gold which is limited edition to this set. Everyone loves a good champagne highlighter and I think this will be lovely in the summer with a tan, now I'm a bit too white for it.
Pearl
This one is a beautiful pink with golden iridescence, it's the first one I tried out as I like the salmony colour to it and I find it flattering over a blush.
I think this is a great set and for 20 pounds we get three different highlighters which are versatile and perfect for everyday use or for special occasions. They're pretty foolproof and they're a great little gift for any makeup lover!
Have you ever tried these highlighters by Becca?
