Trying out Samples : Dior Star Foundation and Lioele Fresh Sun Screen
Tuesday, November 04, 2014Who doesn't love a good sample? I certainly do and I've got quite a few to use and try out. I thought to myself why don't I use these samples and give you my first impressions on the product? After all, that's what they're made for!
So here are the two for this first installment:
Dior Star Foundation
This small sachet was in the latest Glamour magazine and even though it's a couple of shades too dark I couldn't resist trying it out.
It's a medium coverage foundation which feels very light on the skin. It hasn't for a dewy finish but it isn't a flat matte either. I would say it makes the skin look radiant!
This shade is way too dark for me and I'm almost afraid to say it might even oxidize slightly on me so I would need the lightest shade. If I didn't have so many foundations I'd truly consider purchasing it full sized, in the right shade of course!
Lioele Fresh Sun Screen SPF45
Sun protection is an important step in my routine, whether it be summer or winter, so I was keen to try out this sachet of Lioele Fresh Sun Screen. I was very lucky to get to try this thanks to Beauty Sands in an amazing swap that we did (you can check out the makeup and beauty swap video).
It's a white cream with a slightly thick consistency. I can detect a slight fragrance but it doesn't have the typical beach sunblock scent which is okay in summer but not all year round.
It takes quite a while to absorb and it leaves a slight white cast but it isn't oily on the skin and it works well with makeup, which is what I look for in a daily sunscreen. I would definitely consider purchasing it although it isn't as easy for me to pick up as it isn't such a known brand.
Have you been trying out any samples lately?
